Caramel Apple Cider Recipe

October 18, 2014 2 Comments

I LOVE Starbuck’s Caramel Apple Cider.  The only problem is sometimes I am just not around a Starbucks (not sure how this is even possible).  I tried Dunkin Donuts and Donut Delight…but, nope…no apple cider.

Sooo a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do…I had to make my own!

DSC_0444What I love about this drink is that it is super easy to make…the perfect treat for a Fall day:).

Caramel Apple Cider Recipe

Ingredients:
1 cup of Apple Cider
1 1/2 tsp Caramel Sauce, plus more for drizzling
Whipped Cream & a pinch of ground cinnamon

Instructions:
1.  Heat up apple cider in a mug on high in the microwave for 2 minutes (or if you prefer your drink just mildly warm, try 1 minute 15 seconds first and then work your way up to 2 minutes/your desired level of “hotness”).
2.  Pour 1 1/2 tsp of caramel sauce in cup and swirl around with spoon.  Then sprinkle in some cinnamon.
3.  Top with whipped cream and drizzle a little caramel and cinnamon on top.
4.  Cheers!

**Note:  While I prefer whipped cream on top, if I am “watching it” I don’t put the whipped cream and extra caramel on top to save a few extra calories.
