This week has been another busy week and I haven’t had time to come up with some new recipes for you. Instead I have been relying on some of my old favorites…particularly when we were away this past week at the Cape….I mean what summer bbq is complete without this watermelon salad and this panzanella salad?!
This year at the Cape we stayed in Chatham. We discovered this town last year while on the hunt for the best lobster roll ever and it was love at first sight. So of course we had to stay there this year. It is a very cute little town with lots of restaurants and shops and of course a couple ice cream places AND a cute candy store. The ice cream stop gave me lots of ideas for some ice cream flavors to try out at home…can you say hello mint oreo ice cream?! Yum!
The house we stayed in while we were there was very cozy but my favorite part was the gorgeous view overlooking Mill Pond Lake….lots of days we just hung out in the backyard relaxing…
And of course no visit to the cape would be complete without some beach visits…and my little cutie was all set and ready to go!
One of the days while we were there we took a walk to Lighthouse Beach…it was gorgeous there…perfect for a family photo opt!

All in all a great trip in a very family friendly town! We will definitely be back in Chatham again soon!
