Salted Caramel Whipped Cream

April 5, 2016 Leave a Comment

The weather these past few days has been CRAZY and it has been fooling me into thinking that it is winter again.  Needless to say I have been craving lots of comfort foods so this salted caramel whipped cream seemed perfect to share.

I actually came up with the idea for this a few weeks ago when I made my Bailey’s Whipped Cream for St. Patty’s Day and to be honest, I may love this version more…because who doesn’t love salted caramel anything?!  This also tastes fantastic in coffee…homemade Caramel Latte anyone?!  It would also taste heavenly on a slice of apple pie or maybe an ice cream or brownie sundae….mmm.

This salted caramel whipped cream is easy to make…just pour the caramel sauce and whipping cream into a big bowl (or the bowl of your stand mixer) and mix on medium high speed for 2 to 3 minutes.  If you have a stand mixer…make sure to use the whisk attachment!salted caramel whipped cream 2YUM!  I have a feeling you are going to like this one!!

Ingredients
  1. 1.5 TBS caramel sauce (I used Smucker's Caramel Syrup)
  2. 8 fl oz of heavy whipping cream
  3. 5 or 6 pinches of Fleur de Sel
Instructions
  1. Whip ingredients together in blender for 2 to 3 minutes.
  2. If you are using a stand mixer make sure to use the whisk attachment and mix on medium high speed (although I would start at a slower setting for a few seconds to make sure the cream does not splash out of the bowl!).
Notes
  1. This makes 9 to 10 heaping spoonfuls (we are talking about using a serving spoon for this one folks...no measly whipped cream servings in my house!).
