All I want for Vacation is my Two Front Teeth!

July 30, 2014 Leave a Comment

Both my birthday and wedding anniversary are in the same week (isn’t my husband lucky?!).  Needless to say, this year he decided to take Emma and I to Cape Cod to celebrate.  Since we were at the Cape lots of crab cakes, lobster rolls, french fries and frozen treats were involved (obviously).

I think my lil Em-ster might have eaten french fries for 24 hours straight at one point on our trip.  Needless to say we started eating healthier immediately when we got back.  Below is a picture of her eating one of the beloved french fries (also the first picture I was able to capture her two front teeth that popped up).

My favorite restaurant of the trip was The Naked Oyster.  It was voted best restaurant of Cape Cod in 2014.  It definitely lived up to it’s award.  I LOVED their Frozen Blueberry Lemonade Drink (with vodka) and their crab cakes with mango salsa.  YUM!! They might be my favorite crab cakes of all time.  I will definitely be trying to recreate them at some point.  Also please forgive the photography, the pictures were taken as fast as humanly possible with a certain little kiddo in my lap.IMG_2692

Another favorite of the trip was a burger wrap that we had at a local pub/restaurant…they even pressed the burger like a panini which I thought was an awesome idea.

The ice cream place closest to the house we rented was called Katie’s Ice Cream Shoppe and it had a mystery flavor called Cape Cod Sand.  It was delicious…my guess is that it was dulce de leche with chocolate pieces inside.  AMAZING.
